The aim of the conference is to compare the participants’ various national perceptions about these topics, not neglecting the historical approaches, and to encourage the dialogue among historians, political scientists and armed forces professionals, as well as the mutual understanding about a common defence strategy in Europe.  

The conference is organised with the support of – among others – the French, the Swiss and the Dutch Embassies, the Italian Cultural Institute, the Austrian Kulturforum, the Deutsch-Ungarische Institut MCC Budapest,
the Hanns Seidel Stiftung, and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung-Budapest

Official languages: French, German, English and Hungarian with simultaneous interpretation
